A Better Choice for Seniors
More often than not a "choice" for a Senior comes from a need which often times forces choices to be made. This is often uncharted territory for the individual, the family and loved ones who are helping to make the necessary choices and decisions. Mary Meehan is an eldercare advocate that provides free service to assess your needs and then personally introduce you to the people and places that provide these resources. For more information, go to their website, or read what others have said about them on Yelp.

Music and Memory
The link between music and our memory is undeniable. When you hear a song does it take you back to the exact time and place in your life? This non-profit is dedicated to bringing music to those who suffer from dementia. By creating a playlist of a patient's favorite songs and using a simple iPod, they are bringing joy to a group of people once lost. Watch the touching video of Henry to experience the power of this program. www.musicandmemory.org
WalkJoy
WalkJoy is an FDA approved product that can quickly and easily assign a fall risk score to a person based on actual data collected from the way the person walks. If a person is identified as a fall risk, physical therapy can be introduced to help reduce the fall risk score. One of the most common catalysts for the decline of a senior is when they start to fall. WalkJoy has a second product that helps those suffering from Peripheral Neuropath to be able to walk with greater confidence. The FDA approved unit allows the person to feel when their heal strikes the ground and then feed that information along healthy nerve paths to the brain.
